Itinerary
DAY 1 |Arrival in Lima
Arrive at Lima and a comfortable transfer to your selected hotel.
DAY 2 | Lima| City tour & Larco Museum
Start with the Larco Museum which boasts the world’s most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver objects, as well as pieces of erotic art. Then visit Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion ending the tour on the Main Square.
DAY 3 | Lima - Arequipa | City tour
Start your journey in the main square, called 'Plaza de Armas' and the sensational Monastery of Santa Catalina. Continue to the Church of the Company. Finally, head to the neighborhoods of Yanahuara and Carmen Alto, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Misti volcano.
DAY 4 | Arequipa - Colca Canyon
The route will take you through the Yura district. Then, continues to the Pampa Cañahuas, an extensive Andean plateau which is home to the vicuña, an indigenous Andean camelid. Cross the pampas of Viscachani and Toccra and skirt the crater of the now-extinct Chucura Volcano to reach the Mirador de los Andes at Patapampa, 4,910 meters above sea level.
DAY 5 | Colca Canyon - Puno
After breakfast, embark on a thrilling adventure to the Condor Cross lookout, where you'll be awe-struck by the breathtaking views of the Colca Valley, one of the world's deepest canyons. Then, continuing your journey to Puno marvel at the panoramic views.
DAY 6 | Puno | Lake Titicaca, Uros & Taquile Islands
Today you will visit the beautiful Uros Islands, which are composed of layers of woven totora. After, sail to Taquile, a small slice of heaven that once belonged to the Inca Empire.
DAY 7 | Puno - Cusco
Journey from Puno to Cusco by bus, visiting on route the town of Pucara and the Pucara Lithic Museum. Then, you will stop at La Raya, the highest point of the trip (4,313 m.a.s.l). We then head on to Racchi and finally, visit Andahuaylillas to visit the local church, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”.
DAY 8 | Cusco | City Tour
In the afternoon you will visit the main square and the nearby ruins Qenqo, Puca Pucará, Tambomachay and Sacsayhuamán.
DAY 9 | Cusco - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Lear about the origins of the "lost city of the Incas". An impressive place with enigmatic monuments such as the Main Square, the Temple of the Three Windows.
DAY 10 | Cusco | Departure
You will be transferred to the Cusco airport to take your departure flight.
Shared services operated with a guide in Spanish and English.
Two nights of accommodation in Lima, one night of accommodation in Arequipa, one night of accommodation in the Colca Valley, two nights of accommodation in Puno, and three nights of accommodation in Cusco.
Daily breakfast in the hotel from day 2
Lunch on day 4 in the Colca Canyon, on day 5, day 6 and day 7 in Puno, and on day 9 in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town).
