Itinerary
DAY 1 |Arrival in Lima
Arrive at Lima and a comfortable transfer to your selected hotel.
DAY 2 | Lima| City tour & Larco Museum
Start with the Larco Museum which boasts the world’s most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver objects, as well as pieces of erotic art. Then visit Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion ending the tour on the Main Square.
DAY 3 | Lima - Cusco| City tour
You will be transferred to the airport to take the flight to Cusco. In the afternoon you will visit the main square and the nearby ruins Qenqo, Puca Pucará, Tambomachay and Sacsayhuamán.
DAY 4 | Cusco - Sacred Valley
In the morning you will visit the town of Chinchero, a traditional Cusco urban centre located at an elevated point with a beautiful view of the valley. In Chinchero there are also archaeological remains and a beautiful seventeenth-century church. Then, you are transferred to the Living Museum of Yucay, ending your experience inOllantaytambo, inhabited uninterruptedly since Inca times.
DAY 5 | Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu
Today you will learn about the origins of the "lost city of the Incas". An impressive place with enigmatic monuments such as the Main Square, the Temple of the Three Windowss.
DAY 6 | Machu Picchu - Cusco
Today, you can optionally return to Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, transfer to the Aguas Calientes station and take the train back to Ollantaytambo station. From here you will be transferred to your hotel in Cusco.
DAY 7 | Cusco - Puno
Journey from Puno to Cusco by bus, visiting on route the church ofAndahuaylillas, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America” owing to the high quality of art found inside. Continue the journey to Racchi, and the go to La Raya, the highest point of the trip between Puno and Cusco. The next stop is the town of Pucara, the first urban settlement on Lake Titicaca.
DAY 8 | Puno | Lake Titicaca, Uros & Taquile Islands
Today you will visit the beautiful Uros Islands, which are composed of layers of woven totora. After, sail to Taquile, a small slice of heaven that once belonged to the Inca Empire.
DAY 9 | Puno| Departure
You will be transferred to the Juliaca´s airport to take your departure flight.
